And then there were three….

As you’ll see on the “Litters” page, 2007 was a busy year for Justin.  At the age of six he sired his first litter.

The second bitch brought to him in January 2007 was a lovely girl, Willowisp Dizzy Lizzy, owned by Rebecca Gardner and Rebecca Moreland.  Dizzy was sired by SBIS Ch. Bohem Circus Runaway ROM (Blaze) owned by Barb Wayne and Bo Bengtson.  The dam of Blaze is Annie (SBIS Ch. Bohem All About Eve ROMX) and she is also Justin’s dam. 

The pedigree of this line breeding on Annie was very exciting to us and Dizzy and Justin complimented each other well.

Dizzy had had a small litter in the past and this was no exception.  She whelped three little girls!  Her co-breeder, Rebecca Gardner kept one girl (Willowisp’s Somewhere In Time) and co-owns her with Sue Nichols.  The second bitch lives in the Big Apple and that left Mimi.  When she hadn’t been sold as of 3-1/2 months of age, Ivan and I decided to buy her.  In June we drove to Pennsylvania to visit Rebecca Gardner and brought her home.

It has been a whole new experience having a wild and crazy bitch puppy as opposed to the two aforementioned boy angels!  Mimi can careen off walls and has!  But, I must say that she ranks right up there with Justin as a premier couch snuggler!!  She was the apple of Justin’s eye the moment he saw her and while Nicky wasn’t so sure he wanted to move down the ladder with her addition, he has completely warmed up to her.

We surely had not planned to add a whippet to our household but she is here to stay.  We will enjoy showing her, hopefully to her championship, and she hasn’t disappointed us.  She is already pointed from the 6-9 month class.
