The third very beautiful bitch
brought to Justin for breeding was Marnay’s A Flair For Drama (Flair). Her
owner, Naydene Mitchell got her first whippet, Flair’s mother, from her good
friend, Sharyn Hutchens of Timbreblue Whippets. Flair was bred by Naydene
and was born at Marnay,
www.marnay.net
Flair’s type and style were evident
the first time I saw her. After having her here at our house for 10 days, I
didn’t want to let her go back to Naydene! Naydene wouldn’t hear of it,
however! Flair has never been shown but there’s no doubt she would have
done well in the ring had she had the opportunity.
This was Flair’s second litter and
the little girl whelped a huge litter of 11 puppies with 9 living. There
were 8 males and only one female. As the
Pedigree
shows, this was a very distant line breeding on Ch. Morshor’s Majestic
Prince FCh. ROMX.
These puppies were adorable and
Naydene made sure we saw lots of pictures from the time they were first
born.
My friend, Tangie Bush, and I
traveled to Suffolk, VA when it was time for the puppies to leave home. We
brought Merlin (Marnay Put A Spell on You @ Velocity) back to Roanoke and he
lives with Tangie and Jacob of Velocity Whippets and is co-owned by me. You
can see more of Merlin on their website
www.velocitywhippets.com or on Merlin’s page on the Redcliffe
website.
Naydene also kept a lovely boy,
Cheddar (Both Cheddar and Merlin show much promise for the show ring and we
look forward to following their careers.) Brie, the lone girl in the bunch
is living in PA and thinks she is a Rottie! She will be shown by her junior
handler. The other wonderful pups in the litter are in loving companion
homes being spoiled rotten.
Thank you, Naydene, for bringing the
lovely Flair to Justin.
